WHAT I DO
Zmich Consulting LLC is a small, independently owned marketing consulting company that prides itself on honesty, transparency, and dedication to making your business perform the best online. I pride myself on learning the ins and outs of online brand management and social media guidance to provide you and your business the tools needed to be seen by your customers. The bottom line is, if your business is not online, you don’t exist. However, only “being online” is not enough anymore. Companies are forced to optimize their business by using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads to the best of their ability. Businesses must optimize their advertising to be seen by customers at the right time. Not to mention having a cohesive brand image on all social media platforms, so people know what you offer and how you can benefit their lives.
All of these tools can be overwhelming. You’re a business owner, and as such, time is a scarce resource. That’s where I come in. I will work with you and be your digital consultant, making sure your business is seen by the customer that matters to your bottom line while making sure you know how to optimize your business’s strategy and mission best. I have worked with both the Ruston Farmers Market, Holly Creek Farm, and New Beginnings Wellness Center and Spa, to optimize their online presence and ensure proper Google search engine optimization (SEO). In addition to these working experiences, I have been plugged into the social media space for over five years now. As an intern, I worked alongside the Northern Illinois University’s College of Business and helped maximize their social media potential. Lastly, I am a self-taught website designer, and with the help of R-Studio and Hugo Themes, I designed and coded this very website you are on now.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEBSITE DEVELOPER AND WEBSITE PROGRAMMER?
I describe myself as a website developer, rather than a website programmer. I develop websites using template tools, tools like Wix. These templates allow me to be creative and work quickly to materialize the vision my clients have for their business.
Website programmers take your vision and hard-code a website from the ground-up. This is a wonderful choice for businesses with complex needs and business operations. This option is certainly more expensive and takes a lot longer to complete.
Both options are great, but there are tradeoffs to both choices. I choose to operate as a website developer as my target audiance are small businesses with limited budgets and time.
WHY DO I PAY YOU, THEN HAVE TO TURN AROUND AND PAY WIX?
My hourly and bundled rates take into account my time, research, expertise, and experience in this digital marketing field. From my experience, small businesses would rather pay me to bring their business to life online, rather than build their online presence themselves.
However, regardless who you choose to bring your business online, the website hosting platform, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, WordPress, etc., charges a fee for you to use their services and have your website function on their servers.
Server space is expensive, and you pay for that with premium memberships. You certainly can create a website for free, but interacting with your customers, breaking down your website traffic analytics and optimizing your site online with "Search Engine Optimization" are NOT free, and is something the client pays for on a yearly basis.
WHY NOT JUST GET A FREE POS SYSTEM?
POS or Point Of Sale Systems are usually offered for free and then the business pays a transaction fee, somewhere in the realm of 2.9% + $0.30. These systems are free because the company, say Shopify, is hoping that once you are in their ecosystem, you will use their other not free services in the future. POS Systems are great for physical stores, but online stores are different.
Just like you pay rent to maintain your business storefront, you also pay a premium to have your store online. But instead of a landlord, you pay Wix, for example.
There is not an online store that I know of, that does not charge to have the premium benefit of selling to your customers online. I provide the design and the vision of your business, but the client is always responsible for the recurring expense of online usage.
WHAT IS CRYPTOCURRENCY AND WHY WOULD I WANT TO USE IT FOR MY BUSINESS?
The digital commerce space is changing rapidly. Just this year (2021) we have seen Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Tesla, Walmart, Newegg, and many more companies begin to work cryptocurrency and blockchain technology into their businesses. I choose to accept NANO primarily but will accept payments of Bitcoin if needed. NANO is fast, feeless, and secure. While the cryptocurrency market is volatile, the more institutional investment enters the space, the more stable the industry becomes. I, for one, would like to be on the forefront of this digital currency revolution. I can help your business get there too.
